Are you Irish because my....nevermind. :P

From March 27th until March 30th I was in DUBLIN!! It was so much fun! We got there and went to the hostel to chill a bit and then went walking around Dublin with Avery's friend that is studying in Dublin, Andy. He showed us a lot of neat parks that were very pretty! The first park we went to was St. Stephen's Green and there were so many people there laying out and just chilling in the sun. After going around to some parks we went back to get Sonya because she came a bit later and once we got Sonya we went back to the hostel so that she could drop off her stuffs. :)

The second day was amazing because we went to Howth, which is a small fishing village on the Irish Sea. We were told to go to Howth by Andy because they have amazing cliffs and it is not touristy and it was in general very pretty. When we went to the cliffs we all kind of dispersed to look around and I got "lost" because I went and sat on a cliff to read, write, and listen to some music. Mike thought that I was lost because he could not find me, and he was very worried about me, but he found me and we continued to walk around the cliffs. :) It was such a gorgeous day, it was not cloudy, rainy, or too cold! So, Howth was an overall success! That night I opted to stay in the hostel while everyone went out to a pub because I generally don't like going out at night...I am not really into the pub/bar scene...I would much rather be inside creepin' the internet or knitting...I am a very laid back person when it comes to that and a lot of people think I am being antisocial when I just need time to myself. :)

The third day started with Mike and I waking up a bit later than everyone else because we were going to go shopping! Mike had a plan to get a claddagh ring for his girlfriend so, we went out on a search for the ring! That search came up empty because we didn't find anyone who was selling the ring he was looking for. But we did get to go to a music store that had the coolest ukulele because it was shaped like a flying V! I wanted to get it for Jake but I knew that he would like it but not learn it because he is a jerk like that! :P Plus, it was like more money than I wanted to spend on an item...that he would not get until I got back. lolz. After Mike and I were done shopping we met up with everyone at the hostel and made our way to the Guinness factory! When we went to get our tickets I asked to get an "under 18" ticket because I didn't want the free beer that came with it..The woman said "That is an odd request, but okay!!" :P So, we went through the Guinness factory and I didn't really learn anything new because I knew how beer is made because of "How It's Made" so, thank you daddy for making me addicted to weird shows like that and Antiques Roadshow! :P

There were these cool face parts all
over Dublin!! Mouths, lips, eyes,
noses, and faces! :) I loved them!
The last day of Dublin consisted of Mike, Sonya and I walking around doing some souvenir shopping and getting Mike his claddagh ring! We went to a shop first and I got Jesse, Jake, and Kyle some stuff and then we made our way to the post office to get some stamps to mail out a bunch of postcards! :) From the post office we went to Penney's and I got some shirts because I was in need of plain tank tops and shirts! Right after we left Penney's we went to find Mike the ring. I saw this store front type thing and they seemed to have some cheap rings, so we went through a creepy hallway and up three flights of stairs to get to the store. It reminded me of the apartment building in Hey Arnold! and we had to knock on the door to get let into the jewelry store. Mike equated this trip to the store to going to get meth because it was so sketchy! But once we got inside the shop it was VERY nice and the woman who helped us was sooo nice! She kept complimenting me and telling me how pretty I am and how Irish I looked because of my hair, eyes, and freckles! It def. boosted my ego! :P But, Mike got the perfect ring and it was everything he was looking for!! :D So overall success! When we were walking to the train station Sonya and I stopped to take some pictures of cool graffiti and I showed them to Kyle and he was very excited because apparently they were from a famous graffiti artist named Banksy, which I found pretty awesome! And I researched him and he is such a cool guy! He has a movie and I am totally going to watch it!! Thanks Ky!

And that is pretty much my trip to Ireland! :) The weather was amazing and it was a really fun place to be! I really want to go back sometime and I am sure that I will! :P The people there really made the trip because they were the nicest people ever and they were so willing to help and talk to us! :)
