Disney & Driving & Reading

I have been listening to my Disney playlist on my iPod for like three days now and it is getting a bit ridiculous and excessive. Listening to these songs really makes me want to watch the movies but I know what I do not have the time to watch all of them, or even one of them. : ( It breaks my little heart!

But, listening to these songs really makes me appreciate the movies on a whole other level because some of the songs are really well written and composed and are just overall amazing! : ) My favorite Disney songs have to be from The Little Mermaid, Nightmare Before Christmas, and Mulan.  I must say though, I thoroughly enjoy The Little Mermaid the bestest because it was my favorite movie when I was a wee lass and I would watch it every day! But, I am guessing that is what small children do; they will watch movies over and over again.

Yesterday was a pretty eventful day because I took my little brother to get his license! We went to Belmont for his written portion (he only got four wrong when he could have gotten eight wrong.) Belmont was not doing road tests that day so we had to get an appointment at the Concord DMV for his driving test at 1:40pm. So, he and I went home and had some lunch and watched some T.V. and then we headed out to Concord at 12:00pm so he could get some driving in while we were there because he has never driven in Concord before. I took him downtown and he drove there and then he drove on some of Loudon Rd. and he did pretty well. Then we went to the DMV and he took his driving test and let me tell you, that his driving grader (or whatever they are called) was really nice to him and seemed like he would be pretty lenient.

While Andrew was taking his test I sat on a bench behind the DMV and read some of my book “The Average American Male” which is shaping up to be a pretty amazing book. It makes me think of the HBO series “The Life and Times of Tim” because the main character is so weird and socially awkward. I have not had as much time as I wanted to have to read this book, but whenever I get a chance to read a chapter or two, I do so.

Andrew came back from his test about 15 minutes later, which seemed like 5 minutes because I was reading and I was enjoying what I was reading. : ) But, I looked at Andrew and did the thumbs-up and thumbs-down motion and he thumbs-uped me! I was so happy! He and I did an amazing epic high five that hurt both of our hands. We went inside and he took his picture (which I was the approver of) and then he got his little paper license and we were off! I can tell that he was nervous and excited that he got it, and that made me very happy. The whole ride home from Concord we listened to the Disney playlist and bellowed the lyrics to the songs. : ) Overall yesterday was a pretty amazing day!
