I have the Bieber FEVER!

And my Bieber <3 Fever shirt!
Wednesday we went into London to see Justin Bieber! But beforehand we went to Camden Town and shopped around the markets for a bit. It was so stressful because the vendors would touch us and keep talking to us while we were looking at things and it was very unnerving. So, when they started being aggressive about us buying something we would walk away to another stand. While in Camden I bought a really neat dress for my cousin's wedding and I fucking love it and the dress looks awesome on me! I was really worried about it not fitting correctly because I have a large chest but a rather small ribcage, but it fit just dandy! :D I also got a "Bieber <3 Fever" shirt for the concert that night, and I am totally going to continue wearing it! :) Overall it was a really good day in Camden and we are going to NEED to go there again and spend more time there because I could honestly spend like a full week there. So much love.
This is my new dress! :)
After Camden we went off to see Justin Bieber!! :D Honestly, his concert was really good and one of the best concerts I have ever been to. :) Our seats were so bad, we were literally in the last row and the view was terrible. I saw a little blob on the stage and had to look at the monitors to see him, and even then I could not see him because we couldn't see the monitors because of where we were sitting! :P

I made this video because I wanted something to have as a memory from the show and to showcase some of the tweens that had Bieber Fever! :)
Kat wearing her Canadian flag for Justin Bieber. She was not allowed to bring it into the concert because it was "too big" and when I asked if she could fold it and put it in her bag, the guy said "She might take it out during the excitement or frenzy" and I thought to myself, she is 22 years old and I would hope that she could show some self control. But she had a severe case of Bieber Fever, I guess. :P
When we got out of the train station we saw a pile of vomit because some girl got so excited that she was seeing J Biebs that she puked. haha
This is Biebs! :D We could barely see him, but it was still an amazing show!
There were so many preteens there it was not even funny...even though it was! :D

All Time Low with a crazy dutch boy!

The other day I went into London to see All Time Low, Yellowcard, and Young Guns with Fabian. :) I didn't really listen to any of those bands, but I enjoyed the show and I will now listen to All Time Low more because I genuinely enjoyed them! To be honest, I enjoyed going home more because Fabs and I had a new relationship and we were a bit closer after going to the show. When we went to the Underground we got a subway car to ourselves, which is so unheard of because normally there is at least two people in the car with you, but this time there was no one! :D So, I decided that we could not just sit down and have a normal subway ride. So, I got up and started playing on the handles and bars. It was not me who was the one that started to pole dance and I thought "Well, if he is starting this then I will join in!" :) Here are some pictures and a short video. :)

I thought this sign was pretty hilarious and I must say that Fabs pointed it out to me and then I had a hearty chuckle. We had to wait in a line that must have been 1/2 mile long and we were in that line for about an hour and a half before we got into the venue, but it was cool because we got into the show just as the first band (Young Guns) came on.
Fabs and I wore matching purple hoodies, unknowingly! :)
This was our empty subway car! :D
This is Fabs staring down anyone who was walking past the car because we wanted our own car! :D
This is Fabs doing a little pole dancing in the subway. :) I couldn't get much video because I didn't know when the next stop was and I didn't want people walking in or us having to scramble to get out before the door closes.

This is Yellowcard  - Ocean Avenue and we were pretty close to the stage but I couldn't see much because I am so short. Fabs was very nice because he let me stand in front of him once a space opened up because he is pretty tall. :)

Epic fail of a 12 of 12

This month's 12 of 12 was pretty lame and I don't even have 12 pictures to share..it was that lame. I woke up late and napped and then went to bed early and I don't even think I went outside of my room Saturday...I was so lazy, hahaha! But, here are the pictures that I did get. :P I promise next month will be more interesting...I mean, it can't get much more lame now can it? :P

I started my day off by calling Sara and Avery to my room because I thought that we should do something, like going to Windsor..it never happened..we stayed in my room and ate pizza. :P
We passed out after eating, rather gorging ourselves on pizza from Dominos.
There are two lumps on my bed...the black lump is Sara and the pink lump is Avery...I eventually moved the pizza and curled up in my plaid wool blanket from Scotland. :)
I had to watch this movie for my Spanish class..it was very odd because it had to do with necrophilia..and the opening scene was a woman having sex with a man and then she kills him and continues to have sex with his dead body...It was a good movie, but very weird.
I didn't even wear make-up! I look like a lesbian that (if I had my hair right) could be on the blog, lesbians that look like Justin Bieber. :P
I talked to Fabian about our upcoming trip into London to see All Time Low, Yelloward, and Young Guns. :) Fabian is dutch and that makes him awesome and hilarious! :P
I ended the night by listening to SModcast and writing a letter to Jake. :) It was a good, lazy day for me!

SModcast = My New Obsession

I have been listening to an obnoxious amount of talk radio today...like more than usual. I normally listen to talk radio, so the fact that I am listening to talk radio is not the weird part, but the fact that I have been listening to it for over five hours today is the weird part. I have been listening to the SModcast with Scott Mosier and Kevin Smith; it is hilarious! First of all, I love their movies and I really like listening to their meaningless banter. :) It is a lot like listening to Opie and Anthony, but more meaningless banter. Hahaha! I have been listening to it via iTunes and doing other things while it plays or laying in my bed. I am a really weird person, and I love talk radio. Earlier today I was listening to This American Life which is produced by NPR and then I moved to SModcast which is now on XM Virus 202, but was originally just Scott Mosier and Kevin Smith doing a podcast for the fun of it. :)

Here is the website for it. I am kind of obsessed. <3 http://smodcast.com/

Example showww!!

On March 3rd the girls (and Tom) and I went to see a English rapper, Example, in London! It was amazing! I have been listening to Example for a couple of years now, and the girls have been listening to him since getting here pretty much. So, I knew his old stuff and not too much of his new stuff, and the girls knew his new stuff...and the show was all of his new stuff, but I still really enjoyed it! :D During the beginning of the show, Professor Green came into the audience and a bunch of girls started screaming. I couldn't see what was going on because Pro Green was right below us, and I asked who was there and someone responded "Professor something..." and then I immediately screamed "PROFESSOR GREEN?!" The girls that I went with had no idea who he was, so I was alone in my excitement. :) But, I knew that I could tell Kyle that Professor Green was at the Example show and he would be just as excited as me! :) I really enjoyed the show even though we were in the balcony because those were the tickets that were the cheapest! :P But, it was also where the 12 year olds were with their parents...so we were next to a bunch of screaming pre-teens! Hahaha! It was a very enjoyable show! I would love to see him again! This week I am going to see All Time Low, Yellowcard, and Young Guns and then I am going to see Justin Bieber and Willow Smith! :D It has been an awesome month as far as concerts go! :)

Back of Pro Green's head. Yeah, I am a creeper!
Screaming preteen! :)

Friend from home + Camden Town + Roller Derby = AWESOME

This weekend Sonya came to visit me all the way from York!! I was so excited because I have not seen anyone from home yet and it made me feel a lot better about being 3,000 miles away. :) So, to get her I had to go into London all by myself and navigate the Underground, it was not hard in the least because I have navigated it a million times before. But, I went to get her at King’s Cross and then we went to do some touristy stuff because this was her first time in London! :D We went to see Parliament and Big Ben and then went to see Westminster Abbey. That was all the tourist we did that day because she had her bags and kinda wanted to go back to my flat, so we did. :) When we got back to my flat we ordered some Indian food for dinner (it was amazing!) and I had my friends come over to meet Sonya. They all really liked her and she seemed to like them as well! Later that night we went to Crosslands (a pub in the school) and just had a chill night. After Crosslands we came back, I talked to Jake for like 15 minutes and then we went to bed.

The next morning Brooke, Sara, and Mike came over to book our tickets for the hostel in Dublin. :D Brooke, Avery, Mike, Sara, Sonya, and I are all going to Dublin from the 27th of March until the 30th and it is going to be so awesome blossom! So, we booked our hostel and then went to go to London for the day for some shopping and roller derby. Mike went with Sonya, Sara and I because he was going to meet one of his friends in London while we were at the derby. First we went to Camden Town and it was AMAZING it was honestly my favorite place I have been since being abroad. It had everything that I loved and I would not mind just going to Camden and not going anywhere else in London because it was so cool! I totally plan to go back and spend a whole day there with Mel because she loved it as much as me. :) My cousin told me to go there because I would love it, but I never knew how much I would adore it! When I walked out of the station I immediately though “this is my home.” Hahaha! But we wandered around Camden for a good three hours. I got some nose rings and I wanted to go back into the comic book store to get some more stuff but totally blanked it. During this whole time Sara and Sonya became really good friends and I am so happy! :D It is always nice to meet someone with the same interests as you!
There was a super cool music shop that had a whole bunch of neat instruments! :D
After Camden we went to the roller derby and this is where we departed from Mike, which is always sad…, it is like saying goodbye to my brother. :/ But I knew he was going to have a fun time with his friend in London! So, off to the derby! We got there about 15 minutes early so we sad on the floor right next to the track and got all our stuff settled in. I went to call Jake and tell him that I was at the derby and we had a good lovey conversation and I was back to the derby! This was also my first time at a derby and it was so cool! I love it and I want to go to a lot more! The first bout was the Ultraviolent Femmes vs. the Suffra Jets, I liked the Ultraviolent Femmes but they lost…during the time between bouts Sonya and I went over to the merch table and bought some stuffsss. I got an Ultraviolent Femmes shirt and Sonya got a Suffra Jets shirt; we both got them based on the colors because we didn’t really know too much about the teams at that point. The second bout was the Harbour Grudges vs. the Steam Rollers, and once again I liked the losing team. :P The whole day was a total success because I got to spend it with good friends and experience some of my happiest times since being abroad! :P
This is Mike sleeping on Sonya on the ride home...he was so sleepy! :)

Tales from a week in Paris: Part 3

I have been really lazy with posting about this Paris week because I have been avoiding it like the plague because I have been doing a lot of other stuff.

Day 6:
We went to breakfast as normal, but this morning I got a video call from Jacob! I was so pleased to see him and talk to him because I was not able to see or talk to him all week because the hostel had shitty internet, but for some reason that morning the internet was fine and we got to talk to each other!! :D He was so happy to see me and talk to me, it was adorable. So, I started my day on a pretty good foot! :D <3

Before Mel and Amy headed back to London we all wanted to go to the lock bridge by Notre Dame, so we brought our decorated locks (Amy and Mel made one for them, Brooke made one for her and her roommate Stacey, and I made one for Jake and I) to put on the bridge! :D I really loved looking at this bridge just thinking of all the people that have been there and put their locks on the bridge and what each lock meant to the owner. It was just uber sweet. Brooke and I threw our keys into the river below and kept two so that we could just have them to make into a necklace or something nifty like that. :P While we were at the bridge we saw a bride and her husband taking pictures on the lock bridge and it was so cute! I did take a couple of really creeper shots because it was so darn adorable to see someone taking their wedding pictures on the love lock bridge. :)

After the bridge we rushed back to the hostel so that the Mel and Amy could get their stuff and scamper off to the train station! When we got back to the hostel we went and looked up things to do for that day. The first thing on our agenda was to go to Père Lachaise cemetery so that we could see Jim Morrison's grave. When we got to the cemetery we were astonished by the size of it. This cemetery could literally be a small city, it covered so much land and had so many graves! Avery was pretty surprised that they were above ground graves, but I was more impressed that each little grave "house" was dedicated to an entire family and not just one person. So, we walked around this cemetery just taking pictures of things that we thought were neat while trying to find Jim Morrison (which was a chore!) the road for this cemetery are not set up on a grid and neither are the graves, which makes sense because this cemetery is ancient. But we did eventually get to the grave and there was a little fence around it because the original grave was replaced with the one that is there now because the old one was covered in graffiti and all gross. But there was a tree right close in front of the grave that everyone signed. :)
My favorite picture from Paris. :)
From Jim Morrison we went Champs-Élysées, which we had already been on, but decided to visit the Arc de Triomphe one more time. :) This time we decided to go under it because we didn't do that before, so we did and it was so beautiful! I knew it was big, but I totally underestimated how large it really was until I was actually under it and inside it. It was massive! Walking around it was very cool as well because we got to see down all these huge streets and got to experience the cars going around the Arc. After going to the Arc we decided that we were hungry and needed to find something to nom on. So, while walking down one of the most prestigious streets in Paris we decided to go get some McDonalds! :D It was awesome! Ya know how they have the pictures of what the food is suppose to look like but it never really looks like that? Well, our food looked like the pictures and it was awesome!
Yeah, I got McDonalds in Paris. :)
When leaving McDonalds Brooke ran over to this tower of balloons (the ones on sticks that little kids get) and we walked out of McDonalds with full bellies and a new pink balloon. Brooke and I were so happy to have this balloon because it was something that was free and brought us joy. So, while walking down the street we went into the Disney store and talked about our favorite Disney princesses which was fun, my favorite is Ariel (obvi)! My daddy says that I use to watch The Little Mermaid everyday and now when I watch it downstairs and by dad walks by, he quotes it because he use to have to hear it everyday. :) But, Brooke really wanted to make the McDonalds "M" into something that was not McDonalds, so we made it into a bunny! :D When we got out of the Disney store we started walking down the street some more and then saw a crowd gathered around a bunch of street performers, so we stopped and watched what was going down. There were these three men that were jumping around and doing all these cool things, and at one point they grabbed a little girl to use as a prop, but she was so not going to be used as a prop, she was going to be the main event. This little girl just started dancing her heart out and the street performers were surprised but let her continue and she broke it down! About two minutes or so after the little girl started dancing, her mother joined in and also BROKE IT DOWN! The mother was dancing really sluttily (new word) and distinctly not wearing a bra, which made it more hilariously amazing! :P After we watched them break it down for a bit we kept walking. We eventually named the rabbit balloon Pompie and we loved him. Brooke and I were being so stupid with Pompie because we were throwing him up in the air and bopping him about on one of the most prestigious streets in Paris. We were literally acting like seven year olds and Avery was kind of shocked at how we were acting because people were looking at us but Brooke and I didn't care because we were having so much fun! We would hit each other in the face with Pompie because it didn't hurt but the thought of hitting your friend in the face was so amazing. :P At one point when Brooke and I were hitting Pompie in the air he kind of floated away and fell on the ground and Brooke said word for word  "Pompie needs to chill the fuck out. Oh, is that the Louvre?" and it was so hilarious because we were playing with a free balloon in PARIS and we were so caught up in the moment of Pompie that we forgot that we were being children in PARIS. So, we decided to go into the Louvre just to actually be in it and not look at any of the paintings because it was closing, but we had to deflate Pompie which was sad, but it needed to be done. :P After the Louvre we went back to the hostel and chilled out and did nothing at all. :) It felt good.
Day 7: Nothing exciting happened today because we left Paris this day and Avery and Brooke went out on a tour and I stayed in the hostel because I needed to finish a paper, and that is what I did until we left. :P

Overall I LOVED my trip to Paris and I would love to go back and actually go into the Louvre, but I would need like 3 days to do what I would want to do in the Louvre! I might be going back with Brooke and her parents sometime in mid April, which would be cool! :D
