Packing my life away...

Now with two days left in the States, I am packing up my life. :) It is very sad in a way because I have to leave things behind that I have had around me for years. :( But, I have had very little breakdowns, so I think I am past the stage of missing everyone here. I am now more excited to get over there.

I am taking two suitcases (because my mother said "Don't be a poon and take two.") and I have to think about packing everything for my 6 month stay. I have got the towels, blankets, pillows, and clothes but I am having difficulty thinking of other things. I mean, I have a little list if miscellaneous things to bring but I keep trying to think of things that I use everyday that I would overlook. *I just thought of tweezers! :)*

Well, I am off to pack some more! :) The next post will be from England, cheerio!

Hell Week

I am not going to do a 12 of 12 because frankly, I had a shitty twelfth because I crashed my Jeep and it is not good. :( So, other than that, it is finals week... I want to kill someone because I have SO many papers to write. I have already done two finals and I have two more to go! The next two are going to be the most hellish.

On the other hand, I got my room assignment for Royal Holloway! I met someone who is going to be on the same floor as me, and she lives in Vermont (she is from Boston, but goes to UVM) and I am really excited to know someone that is going through the same thing as me. I am very excited to not be alone when I go out to adventure in London. Once this week is over, it is going to be all good. I am trying not to worry about the negative, but focusing on the positive. :)

Just keep piling it on...

I am uber stressed out because of school, work, class, and moving everything out of my room in prep. for England. It doesn't seem like I have enough time in the world for everything. :/ I just want to lay and cuddle with Kyle for the next month because I am going to be missing him dearly. I am going to be in another country for 6 months and I am not going to know anyone or anything over there, but I am going to make the best of it! I think the lack of communication I will have with everyone will make me stronger and appreciate them more! :P 

Today was not off to a great start either, I woke up to someone's voice who I am not too fond of and I felt like I was going to vomit. Ya know, a morning that starts with vomiting is always a good morning... :| Then I went from Kyle's apartment to my house to get into comfy clothes because there was no way I was going to get actually dressed up because when I feel like shit, I want to wear comfy clothes. :) But now I am in the Clock office doing nothing with no one and that is pretty awesome. I have the perfect window for people watching because people just walk past the Clock office all day and they get their mail and I am watching them because I am a creeper. :P But, one thing I cannot wait for is the amount of people watching I am going to do in the airport!

I am just going to go on with my day, see Kyle, go home and craft, and go to sleep. Hopefully Kyle will brighten up my day. I can really tell that he is trying to be nicer to me now that the fact that I am leaving in a month has settled in. :)

R.I.P. Sleeves

Last night was a grave night at the Benton/Costigan household...one of my beloved rats passed away. :( She was old, about 2.5 years old and their life expectancy is between 2-3 years, so it was her time. It just made me sad because she was all skinny and could not walk correctly and I hate seeing old people that cannot take care of themselves and animals that can't do it is much sadder. :( I took her out of the cage when she was living and put her into a smaller cage where she could be alone and eat what she wanted. My other rat, Stella, seems to be really sad because she saw me take Sleeves out and she knew that something was wrong with her, but she doesn't know that she is dead; she probably thinks that she is just gone. When I went to check on Stella this morning she didn't even come out of her house when I called her. She was all alone and with no one to curl up with. Stella and Sleeves were life mates and now Stella is without her bestie! :( But, I am letting my friend, Betsy, watch Stella while I am in England and she has a male rat named Bodie and he is fixed, so hopefully Stella will have a new life mate and friend. I really hate seeing social animals without friends. :( 


In memory of Sleeves, here are some pictures of her! I also have videos, so I am not without her fully. :) She lived a long and happy life, and she was treated like Templeton in Charlotte's Web, she always had more than enough food, and love. :)

12 of 12 November Edition!!

1. Mike and Ben came over at like 11pm to visit and then left at like 1am..it made me sad because they were leaving, but it was a good start to my 12th! :)

2. When I finally woke up in the morning, I had to get ready to go to work, the newspaper, and then class.. But Before I did leave, I got some play time in with my Tuukka Tukk! :)

3. I have been using my bag that I have gotten from a swap on Etsy. :) I traded two knit hats for this Dia de Los Muertos bag. I really love it and it is so cute!! :)

4. The 12th was To Write Love On Her Arms day, and I did just that! I wrote "love" on my arm! This is the last picture of my wrist before the new tattoo!! 

5. I was in work alone.. :( Alice is still out from her surgery, but it was cool because Young Thaddeus was there and I really like him (my boss). I am really going to miss my work family.. :( I told them that I was going to cry the last time I see them before I leave, and it is so true, if anything it might be an understatement. 

6. This is my baby brother, I have his picture on my wall at work and he is turning into a little stud. I really like this picture and I think that he looks really good in it. 

7. This is Andrew's dog, and she was adorable! She reminded me of my dog before she died; they both had the same begging eyes and I loved it!

8 a. This is a shitty picture that Anthony took while Andrew was getting the stencil put on my wrist. I still like the picture even though Anthony did not know how to use my camera. :P

I decided to get a tattoo of the state of New Hampshire because I love living in New Hampshire more than anything and I will miss it when I go overseas and I really wanted to get it to help me with being homesick! .

9. On the way back from getting my ink. Anthony and I were confused and irrate at this person driving the truck. It was a pretty new and nice truck, but someone would actually put "MASSACHUSETTS IF YOU CAN READ THIS YOU ARE TOO FAR NORTH" 

10. After getting the ink, we returned back to Ashland and had a Tremors and pizza night! I love Tremors!! They are the best cheesy movies ever! We watched Tremors 3 at Nick and Amanda's house, and then returned to Anthony's to watch the 4th one. :) This is Alexis, she Nick and Amanda's baby and I love playing with her! She is so adorable and fun.

11. Alexis sure took a liking to Anthony that night because he was wearing a sweatshirt thing with a zipper, and she adored it! 

12. Alexis and Nick...Alexis was embarrassed by her father picking his nose.. *shakes head* When in all actuality he was teaching Alexis not to pick her nose, but I was too quick with the camera!

Venting Session

I have been overwhelmed with so many different things, and I am going to have a little bitch fest because I need it! I have been doing so many different things for so many different places and it is kind of wearing me down. I have so much homework/papers to get done, and I feel as though I am falling behind. It could just be the overwhelming feeling that is causing that, but I still don’t like it. I have a Spanish American Culture and Civilization class that is kind of kicking my ass. I mean, it is not a hard class in the first place, but when I add everything else I have been doing onto it, the class becomes harder. I do well on the quizzes and homework, but the papers KICK my ass.

My schedule is booked solid! I have to make appointments to hang out with my friends because if I don’t have it in my calendar, then it doesn’t exist. Almost every day in the week has something different going on in it. I have not even had time to pack up my room for when I go to England. Gah! I like being busy, but this level of busyness is not fun. I am having a hard time juggling my personal life too. I have certain nights assigned to different places, because if I didn’t then I wouldn’t see either my family, or Kyle.

I am trying to see my family as much as I can because I leave in like 54 days and I am going to miss them, but Kyle needs me at his apartment to clean and cook; I am getting spread so thin! Also, a little kitten at Kyle’s house makes me want to spend as much time there as I can. :P I would love if I could have some time to do my own thing, and I am starting to get that. I have recently put some of my crafts in a store in Holderness, and I am really pumped about that. The only sad thing is that when I leave, I will not be able to put more things in there because sending them over from England is a lot of money. : ( <- Sadness.

Well, there was my little bitch fest. I would write more, but again, I don’t have the time. I have to get home and make a display for my crafts and write a paper. I have to keep thinking that this will all be done in five weeks. 

On another note, I looked up "family" on weheartit and this image came up...I am not saying I am upset, but just confused. :)

59 Days and Counting!

I am officially leaving for England on the 2nd of Janurary! I am so excited and nervous. I have never been away from my family for more than a week, and I live at home and commute to college, so leaving them is going to be hard. I am not going to stay up all night crying about it and bothering Kyle for hours with my nonsense crying. I am going to enjoy being over there, and I am going to make the best of every situation possible! 

I am going to need some tips and tricks for traveling, so I am asking everyone I know for some info on what to do while traveling. If anyone can give me a little tid bit, then that would be amazing! :D Thanks!

Another rainy day...

Yesterday was so gorgeous out and now it is all raining and yucky out, and I am not a fan. :| I just want to frolicking in leaves weather that I have not gotten... :( Every time I want to frolic and be merry, it rains on my parade...LITERALLY. Who wants to play in wet leaves? Not me!

My life has revolved around being at Plymouth for everything this semester, and it is nice because I have things to do, but lame in the sense that I am here all the time. I go to work at my office in the Center for Rural Partnerships in the morning (which is awesome!) and then I go to class for (depending on the day) three hours, and then I go to the Clock office to edit pictures or just sit around and talk about oral sex. I have actually made "friends" which is really odd for me because I don't really make friends all that easily or at all! 


Last weekend I went to Pumpkin Fest to visit Dan and Sonya. Sonya also had some of her friends visit, which was exciting. I really love hanging out with them because they are so laid back and chill and they aren't bitches, which always helps. Pumpkin Fest was a little intense this year because there were so many people and it was so cold! I would not have minded the people being there if it weren't so darn cold! So, we opted to stay in Dan's dorm and watch Paranormal Activity. I didn't mind the movie, it was a bit creepy, but nothing that would have made me scream; I guess I am too desensitized. :/ On a sad note, we did not see any penis carvings in the pumpkins. It made me sad. :(

October 12 of 12

Okay, I have to admit, I was a bit of a slacker this month as far as the pictures go. I was far to busy to whip out my beast of a camera whenever I saw something cool on campus, mainly because I would look like a creep. :P

I saw this little squirrel on my way into work. He was less than enthused that I was there because he was chirping at me and flicking his tail. I honestly thought that I was going to be killed by squirrels.

I had to walk back and forth from the HUB to Russell. I enjoyed the walk, but it would have been nice not to have to do it. :P The leaves are changing and it was so pretty! It is funny because the tree right necxt to it was full of leaves and this one was almost naked! :)

I had a nutritious lunch of Sprite and honey roasted peanuts. :) Kyle bought the peanuts but I totally stole them from him! :D

This little squirrel got put in his new home! I have a bad habit of getting things that I really like to put in my work office. My desk is 90% stuff I like and 10% work. :P

I went out to take pictures of my boss for our website because he has gotten some facial hair and he looks quite different. We took pictures in a lot of different locations, but this one was my favorite. :)

After work was all said and done I had to go to my art history class which is always pretty exciting. I really think that the stuff in that class is super intersting and the teacher is pretty funny and he has a British accent! :P

After my art history class I skipped my Spanish Culture and Civilization class because it is lame and boring and I really don't like it. There is a rather large hill from the art building to the union building (where I was going) and it totally kills me every time! Oh, there are all these signs that have the little wings on them; I think they are funny! 

After climbing the hill I went to the Clock office and edited some pictures and got ready to take some pictures of dancers from Nicaragua. Adam (the photo editor to my assistant photo editor) was being a doucher that night...which is not weird because he is always a prick. Haha.  

Later in the night I went to see a group of girls from Nicaragua dance, and they were really awesome! They had the big dresses and everything! I loved it! :D

I was just randomly taking pictures while leaving and I didn't think this was going to be good...but I kinda like it!

I really hate leaving college at like 9:30pm because it makes me feel that I don't have a life outside of PSU...which I don't. Haha. I need to somehow find a life! 

Then I came home to my cat. :| I am going to be such a crazy cat lady! I love my new kitten so much! He is the most adorable thing in the world! I wish that I could be with him every moment of every day!

Yesterday Kyle and I got a new kitten! He is the best cat that I have had thus far! His name is Tuukka Rask after the goalie for the Bruins. ;) He loves to cuddle and sleep with you and he just the best floppy, sleepy, cuddly kitten ever. Kyle and I have a twin bed that we sleep on and even though there is minimal room, he still found a way to sleep in between us. :) I had to take Kyle into work at 4:30am and I got up and he was in between us, and when I got back home he went right back to sleep next to me! I found out that he loves eyelashes and eyelids...He would paw my face whenever I opened or closed my eyes. He is so adorable! I love him and I want to spend every minute with Tuukka. He will sleep where ever you want him to. I love this kitten!

Hawthorne Heights *Loads of picturessss*

Last night I went to take pictures of the band before they went to play at Plymouth State's Homecoming. It was super awkward because I did not know what to do, and the person with me didn't really know what to do either. :( It was kind of scary! Not because I was nervous around them, but because I didn't know what to do. Haha. I don't really listen to them, but I was taking pictures for the Clock and I am writing a review of the concert too, so I got in for free and they gave me a press pass. :P So, it was not all that bad. I got to go in front of the stage between the band and the barrier to keep the people away from the stage. That was kind of cool because I was closer than anyone else to the band, even if I didn't really care about them. I got some good shot, here are some of them.

My cousin also got married today! :) I got some decent pictures from the wedding. I would have loved to be their photographer, but alas, I was not asked. :/

England bound in three months!

I have been stressing out lately because I realized that I am going to England in three months!! That is a way shorter time that I originally thought! I am going to be gone from the beginning of January to the middle of June, six months of not being around my family and friends. I am confident that I will make new friends and have a good time there, but it is going to be hard leaving. I also know that this is the time in my life when I need to travel. :) I really want people to come visit me, but I can understand if they can't. I would really like to meet the penpal I have in Spain, but I am not sure if she would be creeped out meeting me, I don't think she would be, but ya never know. 


I am going to be attending Royal Holloway in Surrey, England. It is 25 minutes by train away from London. I so intend on finding the London gay scene, and the underground trip-hop scene. :) I really feel as though I am going to fit in there and have a lot of fun!
